The annual Watergrove Trust Spelling Bee grand final was hosted at Wardle Academy creating a buzz of excitement as the finalists took the stage!
Pupils from our Trust schools demonstrated outstanding composure as they went under the spotlight to verbally spell difficult words to an audience of parents, school staff and peers.
The knowledge, confidence and sportsmanship displayed was nothing short of magnificent and we are very proud of each and every pupil.
The finalists (listed below), ranged from Year 3 to Year 5 pupils and were a credit to their school:
Luke from Moorhouse Academy
Adam from St. Mary's CE Primary School, Rochdale
Delilah from St Andrew's C.E. Primary School and Nursery
Teddy from St James C.E. Primary School
Aitzaz from Kentmere Academy
The runner up prize was awarded to Aitzaz from Kentmere Academy whilst Adam from St Mary’s CE Primary School took home the winning trophy. 🏆
Each participant received a book, certificate and a dictionary as well as a very proud smile!
Well done to everyone involved in the Spelling Bee. We look forward to the next event!
